Kezer Do you look forward to change? Change can seem intimidating, whether it is voluntary or due to circumstances beyond our control. As humans we seem to be naturally resistant to doing things differently; we like comfort. Even conditions can that are not for our highest good can feel comfortable because they are familiar.
The fact is though, that without
change, we would literally cease to exist. A pond with no inlet or
outlet becomes stagnant and will not support life. If you become
stagnant, you will suffer and eventually become ill.
What is a Life Coach? As a Life Coach, I have been trained to help creative, resourceful people reach their highest potential. Coaching guides and supports you to:
A coach is not a mentor or consultant, but rather the co-creator of
a powerful relationship. The coaching relationship is like a
chrysalis in which you can safely melt down, dream big, rebuild, and
emerge with a new set of skills to maintain your momentum.
In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach uses deep listening skills and contributes candid observations and powerful questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into awareness and action. You, as the client, must be willing to take risks and face some challenges along the way. A personal trainer does not lift weights for you, nor will I do the work required for your transformation. It may seem intimidating at first, but as you become more comfortable with the change process, your confidence will increase.
All qualified coaches use a set of powerful coaching skills and tools to do their job. As a Life Purpose Coach, I use these skills as well as some tools that are designed to focus not only on what you would like to do, but also on who you would like to become, while being conscious of the interrelatedness of mind, body, and spirit.
